Land at Goldbridge Farm planning decision

You may have already have seen Lewes District Council’s decision to decline the application on Land at Goldbridge Farm, Goldbridge Road, Newick for Phased outline development for up to 250 new homes (including 40% affordable) application number LW/25/0148. Newick Parish Council unanimously voted to object to this application and as such are delighted with this result. This is in no short measure because of the support of the residents of Newick and the Save Newick Village action group. 1075 objections were received by Lewes District council which is unprecedented for an application in Newick.

Experience tells NPC that this is unlikely to be the last we hear of this application. All refused applications have the right to appeal to the Planning Inspectorate. It is also very common to see refused applications resubmitted as altered, reduced or restructured schemes. Please keep this in mind for the future and NPC will share any updates as they arise.
